The venture administrator of a dubious dam being worked by Ethiopia along the Nile stream was discovered shot dead in his vehicle on Thursday.
Semegnew Bekele's body was found inside a Toyota Land Cruiser, which had been stopped close to a bustling street at Meskel Square in the core of the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
"We have affirmed that designer Simegnew Bekele was shot dead," Zeinu Jemal, leader of Ethiopia's Federal Police Commission, told journalists.
"He had a shot injury behind his correct ear," Zeinu stated, including a Colt gun was found inside the auto.
Bekele dealt with the $4.8bn Ethiopia Grand Renaissance Dam that is being worked along the Nile stream. He had been directing the task since the dam's development started in 2011.
Several dissenters furious at the designers' demise, which numerous suspect to be a murder, accumulated before state TV ETV calling for equity.
