Dawud Ibsa is Chairman of the(OLF). Dawud was conceived in Abuna town, Horro Guduru Region in Welega. His genuine name is Firew Ibsa. He visited Haile Selassie I University or college in 1970-1971, where a pastime was taken by him in the understudy development against Haile Selassie; there the Association was joined by him of Oromo University Students. Amid 1974-1976 he took part in the Zemecha crusade. In 1977, Dawud was chosen to the OLF Central Committee. Ahead of completing his investigations (measurements),

Dawud fled to Sudan in 1980 and joined an OLF unit working from that country. Two months following the known reality, he got fundamental armed forces planning in Eritrea. In 1981 April, Dawud aimed the OLF device that started the furnished fight in Welega Province  In 1981 December, the Derg harmed and from then on tormented him for some time. From 1982 to Dec 1986 August, he was imprisoned at Kerchele prison at no cost. Dawud got away and rejoined the OLF.
